Congratulations to La Verna Care TeamThe night of 21st November was a very special night for all the Care Team staff of La Verna, Ladywell when they were the proud winners of Care Team of the Year atthe annual Surrey Care Awards 2014. They had been nominated by various personnel who had first hand involvement and knowledge of the excellent care our sisters in La Verna receive from our staff.
The event was held at the Epsom Downs Racecourse Suite. Champagne was served on arrival followed by Dinner. The Presentation of the Awards was compered by Sylvie Blackmore from BBC Surrey Radio who is a well-known popular presenter.
Twelve members of staff were present to receive the award along with Scilla Le Pla, who retired in October 2014 after 6 years as care Manager of La Verna and Sr Florence Mooney, FMDM. The staff present was overjoyed when it was announced that La Verna were the winners of Care Team of the Year and the Award which was presented by Sir Richard Stilgoe, OBE. Having won the Dementia Care Award two years ago the care staff was thrilled to be winners again this year.
The Certificate and flower arrangement have been proudly displayed in the front entrance of La Verna to remind everyone what a wonderful team of dedicated staff we have who care for our elderly and frail sisters in La Verna. We are so proud and grateful to each one.
