Sr. Aine McDonald FMDM – A Life Remembered (1931 – 2015)

Aine

Sr. Aine McDonald, an Irish Missionary is sadly missed by FMDM sisters worldwide when she passed away peacefully in our Motherhouse at La Verna, Ladywell on 5 September 2015.

Aine lived her life to the fullest as a religious sister. She spent 52 years of her life in Africa (in the slides you will have a glimpse of this great woman) and in her latter years in our Motherhouse at Ladywell. During her life she radiated peace, joy, humour and she is a person with whom you can feel ‘at home with’. Most certainly she is much loved by everyone. Whilst we mourn Aine’s loss, we also celebrate her life with gratitude and thanksgiving. May she now rest in peace.

At her Requiem Mass in Ladywell, Sr. Frances Woolman shared with us the story of this amazing faith-filled woman who gave her life to God and the church most selflessly.

To remember and honour Aine, we share with you some pictures in this slideshow.
