The NEW YEAR began with the celebration of the Patronal Feast Day of the FRANCISCAN MISSIONARIES OF THE DIVINE MOTHERHOOD (FMDM).

Traditionally in each Region of our Congregation, sisters come together from the various communities to celebrate our Patronal Feast – Mary Mother of God.

In England & Scotland the gathering is always held at Ladywell – our Motherhouse. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet up, celebrate the Eucharist together, share a special meal, catch up with news and offer one another support as we move into a New Year.

As Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood our particular charism is to imitate Mary in conceiving, birthing and nurturing the life of Christ – firstly in our own hearts through prayer and attentive listening to the word of God and then allowing that life of Christ to permeate all our relationships, our ministries and all our daily encounters.
