Crib Building Service for children

On 13 December 2017, over 40 children came with their parents and grandparents for the Crib Building Service in Ladywell Chapel. There was great anticipation and excitement for the children when they picked a piece of paper with an item for the crib.

Sr Jane Bertelsen was the narrator and has a wonderful way in retelling the Nativity story. There were stones, trees, sheep, wise men, Jesus, Mary, Joseph, angels etc. It was lovely to watch an older child helping toddlers.

The children were invited to the sanctuary and together they sang ‘Away In A Manger’ and then the parents, grandparents sisters and parish priest Fr. David gathered round the altar as they sang ‘Silent Night’.
