Congratulations to FMDM Golden Jubilarians
REJOICING WITH OUR GOLDEN JUBILARIANS
On 2nd July 2016, we celebrated joyfully a collective 300 years of Religious life with our six FMDM Sisters who celebrated their Golden Jubilee of Religious Life. It was a glorious Summer day and this added to the beautiful liturgical celebration in Ladywell Convent Chapel. Bishop Richard Moth (Bishop of Arundel and Brighton) was the chief celebrant at Mass, concelebrated with Monsignor Ron Hishon and Fr. Philip Carroll.
Our Jubilarians were joined by family and friends as well as FMDM sisters from England and Scotland, Ireland and Rome. Our opening hymn at Mass spoke of Srs. Crucis, Florence, Frances, Julie, Moira and Norah heart-felt desire to continue to ‘Sing a new Song unto the Lord.’ In his homily, Bishop Moth reminded us that each one of us has been called by name, by the Lord and of how important that is.
