Civic Service for Anne Bott, new Mayor of Godalming in Ladywell

Every year when the new Mayor is elected it is customary for there to be a Civic Service to dedicate the Mayor’s year of service.

On 13 June 2015, the sisters of Ladywell Convent were delighted and privileged to host the Civic Service for Councillor Anne Bott, the new Mayor of Godalming to Ladywell. Over 100 guests including the Town Councillors, Mayors from other local communities and Elizabeth Kennedy, the High Sherriff of Surrey came to celebrate and pray with and for Anne during the service officiated by Fr. Gerard Bradley.

After the service, guests were invited to afternoon tea in the parlours and garden of Ladywell Convent.

We pray for God’s blessing for Councillor Anne Bott, the new Mayor of Godalming.
