Chapter of Mats – harnessing the energies of Love

Over 90 FMDM sisters from England, Scotland, Rome and ‘visiting sisters’ from Nigeria gathered in our Motherhouse on 13 March for a Chapter of Mats (Franciscan terminology for a gathering). This gathering is an opportunity for sisters to meet one another and to celebrate our Franciscan Life.

We were invited to re-visit our understanding of our Franciscan evangelical life through this evolutionary paradigm, thus placing ourselves within the whole cosmic story. These connections helped us focus on how we live together and how we can be more Authentic as Franciscan women religious today.
