Sr. Mairead Hynes FMDM – A Life Remembered (1915 – 2015)
Centenarian Sister Mairead Hynes surrendered her life peacefully to God on 20 September 2015 in La Verna, Ladywell Convent. An Irish missionary who had not been missioned to Ireland, spent some years in our Beda College in Rome and in Nathalia, Australia. Her many years were spent in England and towards the end of her life, Mairead was in La Verna, Ladywell. We thank God for the gift of Mairead to our Congregation and who lived 100 years of her life to the fullest.
We remember Mairead with gratitude and love. “Mairead, Ar dheis De go raibh do H’anaim Dilis” (Gaelic). “May your noble and faithful soul be at God’s right hand”.
